DO YOU GARDEN? I am researching a book called "My Very First Garden" (about edible gardening... fruits, vegetables, herbs, etc.) and need your true stories! Do you have a good (or even bad!) memory about the first garden you ever did? Was it inside in pots, outside when you were a kid, or in a community garden? Did you harvest anything or did the rabbits get it all? Please submit your short but true story to vikkibooks at yahoo dot com by April 27 2010. Your submission implies your consent to use your story and the possibility of (minor) editing. Thanks!

Today's Moment: Tag! You're It!

Here's today's "Take a Moment": Tag.... You're It!!

We've been tagged! Here's our list of seven little-known facts about our lives:
  1. Hubby and Wife met through Wife's personal ad on Craiglist.com, got engaged one month after their first face-to-face meeting, married 5 months later, and here they are, happily married 1 1/2 years later.
  2. Hubby has one sister, and Wife has 3. Son has one half-brother, and a half-sister who passed a long time ago.
  3. Sometimes when we hear a good song on the radio, TV or karoake, we three get up and dance around. We act silly and goofy, and sing to the top of our lungs while we boogie down. Quite a picture.
  4. Hubby loves blue, Wife loves purple, and Son loves - well, it changes from day to day.
  5. We want a home mostly underground BECAUSE Son is terrified of tonadoes taking our house away, because Wife constantly has migraines and hot flashes and needs the dark coolness, and because Hubby is wonderfully tolerant of his family.
  6. We take a lot of supplements... vitamins, minerals, herbs, fish oil, and more. Son has the best immune system, followed closely by Hubby. Wife's immune system is majorly compromised but the supplements prevent her from being bed-ridden.
  7. We believe in a bright future, full of love, laughter, fun, family, and joy.

Now you.... post here as a comment, or on your own website or blog.
