These are two tomatoes Doug and I picked today - yes, they are orange. We're thinking they are Kellogg's Breakfast Orange. There are several more of the red cherry tomatoes ready but I'm picking them tomorrow to go to my chiropractor with a big bag of lettuce Weslee and I harvested today.
We love walking through the yards in the afternoon after Doug gets home from work. Like today, I showed him some of the new gourds starting, how the corn has grown even more and have started forming tassels, the tiny itty-bitty cucumber that just burst out today, how much bigger the flat striped gourd got today, how Mr. Frog found a new home in corn patch number 3, and how Weslee and I worked in the kiddie pools today (took out the dead broccoli and cauliflower, and added more potting soil and then added European mesclun salad seed, and seeds for radish, beets, bunching and regular red onions). Lots new every day.
Did you read Weslee's post? Doug and I are very proud of him. He will be writing paragraphs and later, longer posts as part of not only his schoolwork but also for the new "Kid Whispers" membership site we're starting in another week. Variety of topics. Vikki

Trying to figure out how to make our little farmette somewhat profitable so
Hubby can quit job in a couple of years. Since we might not be getting any
