DO YOU GARDEN? I am researching a book called "My Very First Garden" (about edible gardening... fruits, vegetables, herbs, etc.) and need your true stories! 7/27: Hot hot hot!

We were up early to put in the last of the ivy in the north front yard by the cherry tree. Even up early, the three of us were drenched in sweat quickly. Then all of the front and back gardens, in addition to yesterday's plantings, received a deep drink. Our high today was 97 degrees but it felt more like 100. I believe we're on day15 of a streak of "above 90" days. We desparately need rain. Could USA's East Coast or Texas send some please? V
