If you want food, make it instead of buy it. If you want to know the news and weather, try this: they're called the newspaper and putting-your-hand-out-to-see-if-it's-raining, snowing, etc. Use less power, read more books, and let kids play outside more, too.

If you want fruits and veggies, grow them instead of buy them. If you want to go somewhere, ride a bike (except when you want to go far, like to another state), use less gas, stop poluting (sic) air, and use compost.
