Broken Fence

Our puppy started growling suddenly this afternoon. He wouldn't stop, and wanted to go out back. I thought he just had business to do, but he growled all the way down the stairs and out the door. Turns out he heard a patch of our backyard's fence fall over. I sent him inside immediately and brought out my Tween.

A horizontal support beam had cracked, and 4-5 slats had fallen outwards. Hmmm..not a bit of wind, other than a light breeze. Suspiciously the neighbor's brats, er, I mean, children, were playing right in that area and were looking through the hole in the fence when I noticed it.

I got some wood and nails and boarded it up to the best of my ability. Good enough so that the dogs won't escape, but still... we want to sell this house soon, without spending a lot of money but looks like we'll need to replace almost an entire section on the south side of the property. Unbelievable!
