Doug and I went into Hobby Lobby on a spur-of-the-moment to look at candle supplies. Just look. And wouldn't you know it ... they had a sale going on! I haven't made candles since I was a little girl, and me with my two sisters did it with Mother's help. But here it is, many many many years later, and I know that I need to learn how to make candles. I bought a kit to re-learn the basics.
We bought everything 30% off, including block wax, soy wax, beeswax, wicks, colors, scents, votive-molds, and more. We'll keep our eyes out at yard sales for old candles to melt down too.I'm hoping that once I learn those basics, I'll experiment with other ways, like with bayberry wax in walnut shells.
That's our (all three of us) goal for November. And possibly December.
